Description of Significance DRUMRIGHT GASTOLINE PLANT NUMBER 2 IS THE OLDEST NATURAL GAS PROCESSING PLANT OF ITS KIND IN THE UNITED STATES. CONSTRUCTED IN 1917 TO PROCESS PETROLEUM PRODUCTS COMING IN FROM THE CUSHING OIL FIELD, PLANT NO. 2 WAS ONLY ONE OF APPROXIMATELY 250 SUCH PLANTS OPERATING IN THE AREA. IT IS THE ONLY ONE OF THE AREA PLANTS THAT REMAINS IN OPERATION TODAY. ORIGINALLY PART OF SINCLAIR OIL AND GAS COMPANY. LISTED IN THE NATIONAL REGISTER 7/27/1982.
